Hi and welcome to Fowlkes Family Farm! We’re Justin and Melissa — two nurses who somehow fell completely in love with homestead life and raising goats. What started out as a simple hobby quickly turned into something much bigger for our family. Before long, we found ourselves planning our days around feedings, chores, baby goats, and evenings spent out with the herd. And honestly? We wouldn’t trade it for anything.
We have 6 children and 5 grandlittles, so life around here is rarely quiet. Our farm is full of muddy boots, laughter, bottle babies, snack buckets, and goats following us around like oversized puppies. It may not always be glamorous, but it is the kind of life that fills your heart.
We absolutely fell in love with Nubian goats because of their sweet personalities, intelligence, and affectionate nature. They each have their own little attitude and quirks, and somehow they’ve completely become part of the family. We truly believe we have some of the friendliest Nubians EVER. Every goat on our farm is a purebred Nubian and disbudded for safety and herd management.
Every goat here is handled daily, loved on constantly, and raised with hands-on care. Our goal is to raise healthy, well-socialized Nubians with beautiful structure, strong dairy qualities, and the kind of temperaments that make people fall in love with the breed just like we did.
We’re still learning, growing, and building this little homestead dream together every day, and we’re so excited to share the journey with you. Thank you for supporting our family farm and stopping by to visit our little corner of Texas.

Every kid is vaccinated, disbudded, dewormed, and vet-checked before leaving our farm. We maintain detailed health records for the entire herd.
Our kids are handled daily from day one. They are comfortable with people, children, and basic handling routines before joining your family.
We prioritize sound structure, strong dairy traits, and correct conformation in every breeding decision. A beautiful coat means nothing without the frame and udder to back it up.
Our goats spend their days grazing open pastures, eating fresh grass, hay, and grain. Clean water and quality nutrition are non-negotiables.
Our herd carries generations of proven dairy lines with strong milk production records, solid udder attachments, and excellent butterfat content passed down through careful breeding.
We take time to understand your setup and goals to ensure every kid is matched with a home where they will thrive and be loved.
